[ "On Chiltern Slopes" was written by A H Stanton and published by Basil Blackwell of Oxford in 1927.

Long out of print, I have been unable to find any copy for sale in the world nor do I know of anyone else who has a copy (although of course I may be put right on that point!). I thought therefore that a reproduction here of the book was the best way to expose its fascinating content.

Later research by my mother has revealed a few idiosyncracies in the text and you will see some pencilled comments as you read through. ]
